CEC, led by the LTIP (Local Transport and Infrastructure Programme) Team, have now come up with a reasonable compromise solution to the safety and accessibility problems in this location: See the updated ColCC Report 13th January 2026.

This isn't the final design as there could be technical issues which are still to be resolved but the current proposal, shown bellow, was approved in principle at the CC meeting on Tuesday 13th January 2026. More information will be notified as it becomes available.
