We have received this update from Caroline Paterson, the Natural Heritage Officer for City of Edinburgh Council:
"A platform solution is unfortunately not possible as this would put too much pressure on the path. Designs have been requested from our consultant engineers to then allow works which would enable the path to be re-opened temporarily. Meanwhile we are considering a lower cost (permanent) solution to aid the stabilisation of the bank."
